This fellow will be featured on a playing card in a game I’ve been asked to illustrate. This is all the information I can give you about the game at this point, except that it should be coming up on Kickstarter either this spring or next autumn. Watercolour and tempera, again. I obviously used photo reference for this one. I would use it more often but the library would have to be huge, and I’m far too lazy to dig up photos that might come in handy some day. I would also lose them somewhere before using them, probably.
This guy’s fleshy and expressive face is perfect for a photo reference book that concentrates on facial expressions.
