Cyclops and Aladdin’s lamp, right? I tend to think so. I chose the easy-going colours on purpose to undermine the mood of a potentially disturbing painting. Apparently the cyclops has lost one of his eyes to the genie in the lamp… but that looks like a more modern oil lamp to me. Maybe it’s not a lamp at all, but instead some other kind of prison. It glows. Is it the soul of the prisoner that makes it glow? Also, name of the painting is Siblings. Who has done what to whom?
I will need to get back to this theme again sooner or later. Something exciting might happen.
